Rapidshare Link Checking in Firefox

Almost all of us download files from, or upload files to, the internet in our daily lives. When doing so, we usually make use of the storage services that some websites provide. For the file we upload or are going to download, the website whose server we use creates a link. Although everything is normal up to this point, these links can be removed from the servers over time. For this reason, it is quite difficult to tell at first glance whether previously created links still work. To prevent this, it is enough to add a small add-on to the Mozilla Firefox web browser. Thanks to the add-on, a small green tick or a small red cross appears right next to the link we are going to use.

We will install this add-on in two stages. First, install the Greasemonkey add-on from here and then restart Firefox. Next, install the add-on here (we install it with the Install This Script link on the right). After restarting Firefox again, we will now see red or green marks to the right of the links, as shown below.

Note: With this add-on, we can check links not only from Rapidshare but also from many other sites such as Hotfile, Megaupload, …
