Space Resection with Matlab
Positioning, we could say, is the most fundamental task of us surveyors. Although developing technology and calculation techniques have made this task easier today, what we as surveying engineers need to know is how these functional cycles work in the background. For this reason, I believe it will be useful to share with you the solution of the space resection problem with Matlab, prepared as the spring semester assignment of the Photogrammetry 2 course. This document aims to provide both an introduction to the Matlab program and the solution of the space resection problem we use in 3D positioning, together with its programming in Matlab.
The document contains the solution of the problem, documents explaining the solution, a detailed video tutorial and the 3D Helmert Transformation Matlab solution prepared by Research Assistant Mustafa Dihkan. You can get the document from the link below.

Note dated 06.08.2011: Because of the behaviour of many users acting solely in their own interests, the video tutorials have been placed under password protection. Perhaps this way the fact of how valuable knowledge is will regain its importance.
Note dated 16.04.2012: Because students at KTÜ Surveying Engineering were obtaining the code only for the sake of grades, without understanding the logic of the subject, the code has been taken down. I am sure the video tutorial will be enough for friends who really want to understand the subject.
I hope you find this content useful…
