Windows Live Essentials Renewed

Windows_Live_EssentialWindows Live Essentials has been renewed. The components known as the essentials, such as Messenger, Windows Live Mail and Windows Live Writer, have been brought together under the Windows Live Essentials 2011 installer and, with their new look and functions, have passed beta testing and been released to end users. While the almost completely redesigned interfaces aim to make the essentials easier to use, the improved quality of service also makes this a successful effort aimed at new groups of users.

To put it simply: with the Windows Live Setup we download to install Live Messenger on our computer, we can also select the other Windows Live Essentials we want to install and use all of these components on our own computer. For example, the most striking feature of Messenger is that you can follow what’s new on social networks and MSN in a single integrated window. Although it may seem very complicated at first glance, we can then switch this integrated window to the compact view by clicking a button in the top right corner. This brings back the Messenger interface we are used to. Another notable feature is that, when we are offline in Messenger, we can appear online only to the people we choose. In other words, we can now appear online to the people we want and offline to the others.

If you want to try everything I have described, and more, for yourself and to benefit from the essentials offered by the new Windows Live environment, you can visit the Windows Live Essentials home page, download Windows Live Essentials 2011 and install whichever Windows Live Essentials you want on your computer.
